WPForms is a great form builder plugin. You can easily create contact, feedback, survey, and newsletter sign up forms with it. You can easily show it in pages or posts with the shortcode. However, if you are looking to show it in popup then there is no inbuilt feature for this. To solve this problem we have created Popup for WPForms.
Popup for WPForms lets you create unlimited popups for forms. There are options to set how the popup opens, add delay, change the design and a lot more. The popups are responsive and work great on mobile devices as well.

Steps to Show WPForms in Popup
- Once you have activated ‘Popup for WPForms’ addon then go to ‘Popup WPForms’ menu from WordPress dashboard.
- Now click on ‘Add New’. This will open the interface to set up a new popup.

Detailed Explanation for Popup Settings
- Add a title: Here you can set a name for the popup. This won’t show in the frontend is just for easy management of all the popups you created.
- Select WPForms: From here you can select the form which should be shown in the popup. All your existing form will automatically show in the dropdown.
- Add Content Before Form: The text, shortcode, image etc you add here will show before the form in a popup.
- Add Content After Form: The content added in this rich text editor will show after the form in a popup.
- Popup Trigger: The Popup can be triggered to open on click of a button or automatically on page load.
- Trigger Class/ID: If you want to open the popup on click of a button then you have mentioned it’s class or id here. Class names should be preceded with a dot ( . ) whereas ID names should be preceded by a pound ( # ) sign.
- Open Delay: If you have selected the popup to open automatically on page load then you can also set a delay for it. The delay value will be in milliseconds ( ms ).
- Hide Popup after closed: Enter Integer value after which the popup won’t show if closed this number of times. Leave it empty to show popup every time the user visits your site/page.
- Cookie Expiry: The will reset the hide popup counter after the selected duration. The expiry can be set in days, weeks, months or years.
- Once you completed all the settings then click on the ‘Publish’ button.
- Now you can copy the shortcode from the right sidebar card under ‘Popup Shortcode’ and paste on the page where you want to show the popup.

How to change the design of Popup for WPForms
Once you have published the popup then you can also customize its design. To do so, click on the ‘Customize Popup’ button from the right sidebar. This will open customizer with a preview of the popup

- Popup Overlay Settings: Here you can change the overlay color for popup as well as set its opacity.
- Popup container settings: You can use to add a background color to the form, change the padding between container and form, set the height width as well as the border with color, style, radius, and width.
- Popup Animation settings: From here you can select from 20+ animations to show when the popup is shown on the website.
- Popup Close button: This setting can be used to change the color and position of the close button on the popup.
