Keyword filter settings are part of the Restrictions group of settings. It lets you block words or phrases from submission. Here is how you can enable keyword filtering in Gravity Forms.
- From your website’s dashboard, navigate to Forms -> Booster.
- Select the form for which you want to enable keyword filtering.
- Navigate to the Anti Spam panel.
- Now, go to the Restrictions section and then enable keyword filter. You will see the following options
- Keywords: Enter the list of keywords you want to restrict on the form. Each keyword must be entered on a new line.
- Action to Perform: There are two options available under this setting: Mark as spam or Restrict Submissions. If you choose Mark as spam, then if a blocked keyword is used, the form submission will go through as usual in the frontend, but it will get marked as spam in the backend, and no notification emails will be sent. If you choose Restrict submission then it will give a validation error, and the form submission won’t happen.
- Validation Message: In case you decide to use ‘Restrict submission’, then here you can customize the validation message, which will be shown in the frontend.
