Imagine you have a landing page with a form at the top of the form. With Autofocus power-up by PowerUps for WPForms, you select a form field that will be focused automatically when the page loads. Users can just start typing in the form.
Steps to Enable Autofocus on any WPForm field on page load and multi-page navigation.
- Go to Forms -> Ultimate Kit from your WordPress dashboard.
- Select the form for which you want to enable autofocus on a particular field.
- Now navigate to the Power Ups panel and look for Autofocus for WPForms Field section.
- Click on the Settings button, and you will get the following options
- Enable: Check this option if you want to enable the autofocus power-up on the selected form.
- Select a Field to Focus: Select the form field on which you want to enable autofocus on page load. If you have a multipage form, then ensure that the selected field is located on the first page of the form.
- Focus First Field ON Each Form Page: If you have a multipage form, then by checking this option, it will automatically focus on the first field when the user navigates between multiple pages.
- Once done then click on the Save button to make the changes live.
Now open your form in the frontend of your website and you will notice that the field you selected got automatically focused once the page has loaded completely.
