You can disable form fields for user input in the frontend, like single-line inputs, using PowerUps for WPForms. The fields can have a default value; this way, users can see the field value but won’t be able to modify it.
Below are the steps to follow to enable this feature.
- From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Forms -> Ultimate Kit.
- Select the form in which you want to disable the form field for user input.
- Now go PowerUps panel.
- Now, click on the Settings button under Disable a form Field to Prevent User Input. You will get the following settings for this PowerUp
- Enable: Use this to enable/disable the PowerUp.
- Select Fields: Select the fields that you want to mark as read-only ( disable on frontend ). You can select multiple fields.
- Disabled Fields Background Color: With this setting, you can define background color for disabled fields so that they are highlighted appropriately in the frontend.
Once you have made your changes then click on the Save button to make your changes live.
